The Andalusia Police Department is seeking the public’s help with information about thefts that occurred this past weekend at Sunsouth LLC, the local John Deer dealership.

Chief Paul Hudson said some time between Saturday afternoon and Monday morning, thieves cut the fence between Sunsouth and Eye Center South and took six industrial lawnmowers, a stand-on Wacker Neuson, and other items. The estimated value of the stolen goods topped $100,000, he said.

Hudson said the APD is asking any resident who saw suspicious activity, or might have seen the equipment being hauled out of town, contact investigators at the APD at 334-222-1155.

Anyone with information also may contact CrimeStoppers using the 24-hour tip line at 215-STOP (7867).
