Dr. Betta Edu, the National Women Leader of the All Progressive Congress, APC, has congratulated all female aspirants in the party who called through their primary elections.
Betta, who is barely two months in office, said the victory of the female candidates is a great feat to the women wing of the party and a pointer to what can be achieved.
Betta, who had earlier this month hosted over 700 female aspirants across the country at the instance of the First Lady, Aisha Buhari, thanked the wife of the President for her relentless effort in leading the push and mainstreaming women into politics and governance.
The former Cross River State Commissioner of Health, expressed her overwhelming joy and thanks to God, saying she is sure of the women victory in the polls next year.
In her words: “What a way to celebrate two months in office as National Women Leader… this Joy is plenty ohhhh… God we thank you! Our mother Dr Aisha, and indeed all our past leaders our efforts are paying off.”
She appreciated all contenders of the primaries while encouraging those who did not make it through the primaries to take it in good faith and maintain calm as other opportunities will avail in the future.
