APC asks presidential aspirants to pay N100 million for nomination forms


On Wednesday, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) said its presidential nomination forms will be sold for N100 million.

The party made the disclosure this afternoon at its National Executive Committee meeting, noting that the forms will be available for purchase at the APC national secretariat in Abuja between April 23 and May 6. 

Bola Tinubu and Yemi Osinbajo are some of the politicians who have declared their presidential ambitions on the party’s platform. Others include Kogi state governor Yahaya Bello, minister of labour, Chris Ngige and transportation minister, Rotimi Amaechi.

The ruling party also fixed nomination and expression of interest forms for governorship at N50 million.

Candidates seeking to contest senatorial positions would pay N17 million for nomination form and an additional N3 million for expression of interest form.

In the same vein, House of Representatives aspirants in the ruling party would purchase the nomination and expression of interest forms at N10 million while states house of assembly contenders would pay N2 million for the forms.
