It’s common knowledge that Antony is struggling for gametime with Manchester United.
The Brazilian winger has only made five appearances this season, totalling 155 minutes on the pitch.
Before this season started, the 24-year-old matched his number of appearances for Ajax with 82, however had only scored 11 goals with five assists.
Unfortunately, this number of goal contributions is less than half of how many he got at Ajax, securing his £85 million transfer in 2022.
It’s now been reported that Antony is wanting to meet with United’s chiefs to understand his role at the club. Antony is understood to be ready to leave the club if he doesn’t get more time on the pitch.

However, with him falling down the ranks, being a second choice right-winger to Amad Diallo, it’s unlikely his situation at Old Trafford is going to improve.
Further to this, Ruben Amorim has highlighted Antony as surplus to requirements at Old Trafford, wanting to get rid of he Brazilian in January if possible. And he might have just found a way to do it.
Antony for Lorran swap deal on the cards
Graeme Bailey has reported that United are looking to use Antony as a bargaining chip to land the signing of Flamengo’s young star, Lorran.
Lorran is slowly breaking through into Flamengo’s first-team, being labelled as one of their most exciting young stars. Whilst he is primarily coming on off the bench, playing just under 40 mins per appearance, he’s starting to get himself noticed.
Across his 30 appearances, he’s grabbed two goals and three assists.
The swap deal may be on the cards, with Flamengo having declared interest in Antony earlier on in the year.
However, United will have competition from West Ham United and Bright & Hove Albion who are both keeping tabs on the attacking midfielder.
The interest doesn’t stop there though for the 18-year-old, with European clubs like RB Leipzig, Marseille and Atalanta all wanting the young Brazilian.
However, the odds seem to be in United’s favour, with Lorran wanting a move to England.
The midfielder reportedly has a release clause of £43 million (€50 million), with Flamengo open to offers beneath this in January.
