Over the last few days, Manchester United have had a run of departures from the club with four moves in a week. Facundo Pellistri is heading to Panathinaikos, Maxi Oyedele to Legia Warsaw, Will Fish on route Cardiff City and Radek Vitek on a loan to BW Linz. However, now Anthony Elanga has taken to social media to take shots at his former club.
Elanga graduated from the United youth academy back in 2022, and a year later found himself moving to Nottingham Forest for £14.8 million (€17.5 million).
In his brief spell in the United senior team, the Swedish winger made 55 appearances, grabbing four goals and four assists.
Since moving to Forest however, the 22-year-old has had much better luck, with five goals and nine assists in 40 games.
Now, Elanga has taken to Instagram to comment on the move for one of the current class of Red Devils. Instead of using this a moment of support however, this has been used as an opportunity to throw shade at his former club.
Taking to social media following confirmation of Oyedele’s move to Warsaw, Elanga commented a gif from The Matrix of when Neo “dodges a bullet” in dramatic fashion.
No doubt this is making a point of Oyedele dodging a bullet by leaving Old Trafford.
