Ruben Amorim’s reign at Manchester United has officially begun after arriving from Sporting Lisbon.
Amorim has generated a lot of hype around his arrival after an impressive spell at the Portuguese capital.
In four years, the 39-year-old won five trophies, getting Sporting’s first league title in 19 years.
When he arrived there from Braga, most of his backroom staff joined with him. So it’s no surprise the same has happened now.
United have parted ways with Ruud van Nistelrooy, Rene Hake, Jelle ten Rouwelaar and Pieter Morel to create space for Amorim’s team. The four arrived in the summer to form part of Erik ten Hag’s remodelled coaching staff.
However, with the Dutchman getting sacked, his team have now also departed.

A bit part of Amorim’s contract negotiations with United revolved around his staff and being able to bring his team from Sporting.
The group who have moved to Old Trafford with Amorim consists of assistant coaches Carlos Fernandes, Adélio Cândido and Jorge Vital, and sports scientist Paulo Barreira and Emanuel Ferro.
United even went as far as paying £840,000 (€1 million) in compensation for his backroom team, to allow for them move with him.
However, new reports have emerged that another one of Amorim’s Sporting staff is also moving to Old Trafford.
Tribal Football have reported that Eduardo Rosalino, one of Sporting’s analysts is all set to join Amorim’s new team.
Rosalino had been at Sporting since 2013/14, having arrived from Sporting Alges Academy School.
After a year of working with the reserve squad, Rosalino was promoted to first-team analyst where he’s been working under Amorim.
