Mortal Kombat 1 has seen some questionable pricing practices for its additional content over the last 10 months or so of its lifespan. Though it has seen improvements in some areas, the bad taste that was left in the mouths of fans from some of the more egregious instances earlier on haven’t been fully washed away quite yet.
It’s for that reason that whenever we see alternate costumes added to the game that are free of charge to the consumer, they are that much sweeter. Following the recent mask-less Kitana skin, NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. Games have introduced yet another free skin for all players, and this time it’s for Johnny Cage.
If you hop into Mortal Kombat 1 right now, the new Johnny Cage “Infiltrator” skin will already be added to your inventory. You don’t have to do anything extra, and you can find this new skin by heading into the game’s customization mode, selecting Johnny, then looking under the Palettes section.
This new alternate look for Mr. Cage comes with two separate color palettes you can choose from. The new digs dress Johnny in a body suit with a large chest plate over top of it and some cargo pants.
The developers behind Mortal Kombat 1 have released a handful of free skins in recent times, and it’s likely that they are not only doing so as a means of giving back to the players, but also to push out any remaining content they planned for the first year of the game before the big expansion drops.
Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns is gearing up to add six new playable characters, new story mode chapters, and even new finishing moves in Animalities. It will be available next month on September 24.
