The Cross River State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism Development, Mr. Eric Anderson, has lauded the new Director General of the Cross River Agency for Arts and Cultural Heritage, Barr. Emmanuel Enamhe, for the many initiatives being put together to revive the State’s cultural heritage.
Mr Anderson, who stated this when the Director-General led other members of the Agency on a courtesy call on him at his office in Calabar, describing Mr.Enamhe as the right man for this onerous task of reviving the sector.
The Tourism Boss welcomed him into the tourism cluster saying that a healthy synergy within the tourism cluster is necessary for the growth of the sector in the State.
“Such synergies give clear frameworks of strengths, weaknesses, solutions to challenges and at the end it is a win-win outcome for the cluster. So it is pertinent that all hands must be on deck to be able to achieve success”. He added.
Expressing his confidence in the Director General, the Commissioner said he is certain that he will inject his wealth of knowledge and experience in the sector, as a retired Permanent Sectary in the State civil service.
Pledging his co-operation in whatever way the Agency will require going forward, Mr. Anderson also brought the Director General up to date on projects in the pipeline and encouraged him to key in.
Earlier, the Director General,Cross River Agency for Arts and Cultural Heritage, Barr. Emmanuel Enamhe, appreciated the Commissioner for the warm reception given to him and members of the Agency, while emphasizing the Agency’s readiness to work with the Ministry and extra Ministerial components of the cluster.
Barr. Enamhe solicited for the Ministry’s support for the Agency, saying that the Agency which came into existence on the Twentieth of April, Twenty Twenty, is at its cradle stage and needs active support of all stakeholders in the Culture and Tourism cluster to achieve desired objectives.
Prominent among stakeholders that were part of the courtesy visit include the Directors of the Agency, Hon. King Vincent and Hon. Effiom Owuna, the Senior Special Assistant, Cultural Centre, Calabar, Mr. Victor Ita, and the Ministry’s Management Staff.
