Anambra guber poll will be a test case for 2027 general election in Nigeria – ADC

The candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the November 8, 2025 governorship election in Anambra State, Mr John Chuma Nwosu has said the process would be a test case for the party to show it’s capacity in the 2027 general election in Nigeria.

Nwosu who was at the St Faith Anglican Cathedral Awka, on Sunday for the Thanksgiving and Dedication of the party’s campaign which commences this August noted that the ADC as a party of great Nigerians is poised towards instilling good and populist governance in the country.

He charged church leaders in the country to continue to pray for the end of what he called bad governance in Nigeria.

“It is of a great joy that I stand here this morning for the Thanksgiving of our ADC campaign for the governorship election in Anambra State.

“The election would be a test case for the party to show it’s capacity adding that the party equally needs the prayers of the church in that regard.

“Today is a day to thank God and ask for His guidance during the election and the campaigns and the voting proper.”

“I urge you all to pray for us, pray for our state and the country so that the bad governance that we a facing in this country would be put to an end  and we in the ADC as a political party have provided that much needed platform for the change in the leadership and governance of our country, ” he noted.

Speaking earlier the gubernatorial running mate of the ADC who in his instance the church service was convened, Chief Dr Ndubuisi Nwobu explained that; “In a journey of this nature there is the need to seek the face of God Almighty before we commence our election campaigns this August and to also thank God for the journey so far.”

“Our party the ADC is not just a political party but one that has become the last hope of Nigerias and we wish to assure you all that the party will not disappoint NIgerians.”

Nwobu also urged the clerics to always remember the party and it’s candidates in their prayers noting that we prayers all things are possible.
