A philanthropist and founder of Joseph Onuorah Foundation, High Chief Joseph Onuorah, has congratulate governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo and the candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA in advance, ahead of Saturday November 8, 2025 governorship election in Anambra State.
The congratulatory message was contained in a statement personality signed and made available to Journalists in Awka on Friday by Dr Onuorah, who is also a proud son of the state.
According to him, “As the gubernatorial elections approach, I write to congratulate you in advance — not merely on the anticipated outcome, but on the renewed opportunity to serve Ndi Anambra at this defining moment in our collective journey.
“At your victory, when it comes, should not be seen solely as an affirmation that the first four years fully met the people’s expectations. Rather, it must be understood as a reflection of our political reality — where a weak and disorganized opposition has left the electorate with limited options — and, more importantly, as an investment of renewed trust in your promises. Ndi Anambra are choosing hope once again, with the belief that the next four years will bring bolder, faster, and more people-centered transformation.
“Anambra State has long been celebrated as the Light of the Nation. Yet, that light must shine brighter — through visible progress, functional infrastructure, and inclusive growth that reaches every local government and community. It is time to match rhetoric with results, and vision with verifiable action.
The Philanthropist demands five areas, governor Soludo should prioritized in his second term.
“Make Security the Number One Priority, Your administration deserves commendation for the decisive actions taken in the third year of your current term to address insecurity across the state. However, it is not enough to chase Ezenwanyi and Dibias for a few months and declare victory. Anambra now requires a sustainable and technology-driven security architecture, coordinated from a state-funded command and control center.
“Every major road intersection, community boundary, and forest corridor should be monitored by drones and intelligent surveillance systems, ensuring that criminal elements are identified and neutralized swiftly. Security must go beyond showmanship; it must become a daily commitment to safeguarding every citizen. When people feel secure, commerce thrives, tourism returns, industries grow, and social life blossoms once again — as it did in the Anambra of old.
“Grant Full Autonomy to Local Governments,
The local government system remains the closest to the people. True development can only thrive when LGAs have the freedom and resources to manage their affairs. Restore autonomy and empower local councils to plan, budget, and execute community projects efficiently.
“Review the Quality of Road Construction
Our roads remain the arteries of commerce and social connection. Many recently completed roads already show worrying signs of poor workmanship. There must be an immediate audit of construction standards, contractor performance, and maintenance frameworks. Durable roads are not luxuries — they are lifelines for trade, safety, and progress.
“Create Jobs and Support Youth Industries
The energy, creativity, and intelligence of Anambra’s youth are our greatest natural resources. Launch an aggressive job-creation drive by partnering with the private sector to establish industrial clusters, agro-processing hubs, and technology innovation centers. The time for promises has passed — this is the era for measurable action and visible impact.
“Rehabilitate Schools and Healthcare Facilities, many of our schools and health centers across local governments remain in states of disrepair. Every community deserves functional classrooms, motivated teachers, clean clinics, and accessible healthcare. A state that neglects education and health cannot truly prosper. Let this new term focus on restoring these vital public infrastructures across communities.
“Your Excellency, history often judges leaders not by the length of their service, but by the legacy they leave behind. The next four years present your final window — a sacred opportunity to cement your place as the Governor who truly repositioned Anambra for greatness. Use this moment to build, to reform, and to inspire.
“On behalf of well-meaning Ndi Anambra at home and in the diaspora, I congratulate you once more in advance, and pray that wisdom, courage, and empathy guide your leadership. May your legacy be one of action, inclusion, and enduring progress for all,” Onuorah concluded.
