The authorities of Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State, have named a street after the State commissioner of Police, CP Aderemi Adeoye.
The Paradise News gathered that the gesture is a reward to the commissioner for the improved security in the state.
The street which was named after the commissioner is located in the heart of Awka.
The state police command’s spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga revealed this to journalists, with pictures and videos of the signpost showing the name of the street, with the approval from the Awka South Local Government authorities.

Adeoye would be retiring sometime in June, and the idea may be to immortalize him as a sign of remembrance when he leaves Anambra.
He has recently been honoured with several awards from groups for his gallantry, and ability to stem crime in the state.
