As part of it effort to drive Nigerians’ consciousness of civic responsibility during an elections, an All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA’s support group, APGA Fan Club has vow to tackle one the electoral challenges known as “voter apathy”, using the November 8th, 2025 Anambra State governorship election as a case study.
According to the Chairman of the Fan Club, Hon Obiajulu Nwoye, who spoke to Journalists in Awka on Friday, shortly after it elaborate stakeholders meeting, said the Club which was created in 2022 and officially launched by the current APGA State Chairman Hon Barr Ifeatu Obi Okoye this year 2024, is aimed at influencing behaviour and driving action by providing compelling reasons to participate, and show Anamberians and Nigerians at large that the future of the country lies primarily in their decision to become active contributors in the electoral process and to mobilize for governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo reelection bid come 2025.
“We will do everything electorally possible to educate Anambra registered voters about the negative effect of them not coming out en masse to exercise their franchise during voting process, give them sense of belonging in democratic setting. Our major target is to eliminate voters apathy in Anambra, starting from the nex year governorship election in the state.
“Apart from tackling the eradication of voter apathy, the club, which happens to be one of the frontline APGA support group championing the reelection campaign bid for governor Soludo, is also targeting about 30,000 to 40,000 members across the 326 political wards in the state, mostly, past party executives from wards to state and other lovers of APGA and SOLUDO developmental projects.

“We are also commencing an intense door-door mobilization to ensure governor Soludo’s second term victory, in next year November 8th, 3025 governorship election.
“Our doors are open for anyone who wish to be part of the moment, irrespective of political affiliation to joined in order to assist the governor actualized his vision of making Anambra a livable and prosperous state in Nigeria.”
Hon Nwoye, who is also the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Political Mobilization, used the meeting to commend Soludo on the ongoing transformation policies and projects, more especially the roads, hospitals, lighting, youth development, free education, employment etc in the state.
