Key Performance Areas:
Investigate complaints relating to contraventions of the Financial Sector Regulation Act and other sector laws;
Ensure that regulatory action is taken when the contravention is confirmed;
Liaise with investigators with regard to the investigation process;
Deal with debarments of persons who have been found to have materially contravened the FSR Act and /or any sector law;
Deal with suspensions and withdrawals of entities authorised in terms of the FAIS Act; and
Be able to perform administrative and other activities relating to the regulatory framework.

Candidates must demonstrate the following skills and attributes: A high level of judgement and a confident and decisive approach; problem analysis, information gathering, communication skills (verbal and written), good interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, customer relations and persuasiveness skills. Good knowledge and/or experience of the functioning of the Financial Sector Regulation Act and other sector laws and knowledge of workflow system is essential.

Requirements
A Bachelor’s Degree in Law or related field with 2 to 3 year working experience. Candidates must have an understanding of the Financial Sector Regulation (FSR) Act and other sector laws.
