Fortnite OG has brought back the classic feel of Chapter 1, and with it comes some exciting hidden quests that many players might miss. These secret challenges aren’t visible in your quest menu, but completing them can earn you a sweet 40,000 XP. Here’s everything you need to know about finding and completing these nostalgic challenges.
The Double Pump Challenge
The first secret quest requires hitting an opponent with two different shotguns in less than a second. This challenge is based on the legendary “Double Pump” strategy that dominated early Fortnite matches.
To complete this quest, you’ll need to:
- Find both a Tactical Shotgun and a Pump Shotgun
- Place them next to each other in your inventory for quick switching
- Hit your opponent with the first shotgun
- Quickly switch to the second shotgun and land another hit
This might take some practice, but it’s worth trying since it’s a fun throwback to one of Fortnite’s most powerful early-game strategies.
The Rocket Rider
This next challenge might be the trickiest of them all – you must ride a rocket from a Rocket Launcher. To complete this challenge:
- Team up with a friend (this is essential)
- Find a Rocket Launcher
- Have your friend stand at a good distance
- Get them to shoot the rocket at you
- Jump right before the rocket reaches you
Since friendly fire is disabled, you won’t take damage if you mess up while practicing with a teammate.
The Victory Dance
The third secret quest asks you to emote within five seconds of eliminating an opponent. While some might consider this “toxic” behavior, it’s all good fun when you’re doing it for a quest. (but also, that’s what emotes are for)
To complete this challenge:
- Eliminate an opponent
- Quickly open your emote wheel (B on keyboard, D-Pad on controller)
- Select any emote and perform it
- Make sure you do this within five seconds of getting the elimination
The Doorbell Destroyer
The final secret quest brings back another classic Fortnite feature – breaking doorbells by repeatedly ringing them. This one is probably the easiest to complete out of all four challenges.
To find and break a doorbell:
- Land in residential areas like Pleasant Park or Salty Springs
- Look for houses with doorbells near their front doors
- Repeatedly press the interact button on the doorbell
- Keep pressing until it short circuits and breaks
These secret quests are a fantastic way for new and returning players to experience some of the most memorable moments of early Fortnite. While some challenges might take a few attempts, they’re all achievable.
