Alfa Operator

In this role you will be responsible to supply the spray drier with liquid mix/concentrate through a process of blending and batching continuously, in a culture of performance monitoring, review and action, open communication, continuous improvement in support of achieving organization vision, mission and objectives.

A day in the life of an Alfa Operator:
Offloading of glucose and oil into silos

Check tanker bottom and top seals before offloading.
Ensure offloading start up and shut down procedures are followed and record any deviations.
Report abnormalities to your team leader and assist or make corrective action where possible.
Take a sample for testing according to SOP and ensure compliance with all recording procedures.
Check invoices for tonnage to match with bridge feeding before and after offloading and the empty space in the silos.
Clean the offloading area and the hosepipe after use.

Blending of raw materials

Operation should be automatic using PLC.
Ensure plant start up and shut down procedures are followed.
Check that all screens in the computer are in order: process water; glucose/oil silos; liquiverter and pasteurser.
Select correct recipe on the PLC system and transfer process water into liquiverter by pressing START on the PLC.
Weigh dry raw materials according to the recipe and pours them manually into liquiverter. Also add Rework powder.
Record quantity and batch codes of used material for each batch
Ensure the proper mixing of glucose and oil with the mixture of raw materials.
Check the total solid of the complete batch.
Record the parameters of each batch and accurate completion of all process documents.
Do a daily stock count at beginning and attend of the shifts.
Monitor daily any deviations from supplied material and record it on your stock count.
