The role involves managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic insights to support decision-making.
The ideal candidate will oversee budgeting, financial reporting, tax compliance, and internal controls while ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of all financial processes.
Responsibilities
Prepare and present financial reports to management on a monthly basis.
Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, ensuring compliance with internal controls.
Provide timely and relevant financial data to management, including accounts receivable and payable.
Oversee payroll preparation and administration.
Reconcile bank accounts and resolve discrepancies.
Manage the preparation of budgets, monitor financial performance, and conduct variance analysis.
Ensure prompt deduction and remittance of statutory payments such as VAT, PAYE, and other taxes.
Perform detailed financial analysis to guide strategic decision-making.
Oversee the processing of invoices and payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Basic Requirements
Candidates should possess a B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic planning.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Microsoft Dynamics).
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CPA are an added advantage.
The ideal candidate must have a strong background in financial management, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to provide strategic financial guidance to drive business success.
