Officials refereeing Tunisia’s defeat by Mali have to be escorted from the pitch after blowing final whistle BEFORE 90 minutes were up… despite two VAR checks taking place in AFCON Group F clash
Referees have had to be escorted off the pitch after blowing the final whistle in Tunisia’s defeat by Mali before 90 minutes had been played.
The referee appeared to blow the first whistle signalling the end of the game with 89 minutes and 43 seconds of the Group F clash between the two sides in the Africa Cup of Nations gone.
That drew a furious reaction from Tunisia’s bench, with boss Mondher Kebaier furiously grabbing the referee’s arm and pointing to his watch in the immediate aftermath of the full-time whistle.
