Nigerian music star Adekunle Gold has expressed his frustration with Manchester United’s disappointing performance during the 2024-25 season.
Adekunle a lifelong supporter of the club, has often been seen at Old Trafford, showing his love for the team and even modelling for the club. However, recent results have led him to reconsider his allegiance.
In a viral video circulating on social media, Adekunle Gold lamented his decision to support Manchester United and shared his candid thoughts with newly appointed manager Ruben Amorim.
The singer suggested that Amorim should sell most of the squad, keeping only Noussair Mazraoui and Amad Diallo, when the transfer window reopens.

Struggles Under Amorim’s Management
Amorim, who took over after Erik ten Hag’s departure, has had a difficult start at Manchester United, with the team winning just four out of 11 matches under his watch. The club is currently enduring a four-match losing streak, and their form has left fans and players alike frustrated.

January Transfer Overhaul on the Horizon?
With the January transfer window approaching, Adekunle Gold is not alone in calling for major changes within the squad. However, Amorim faces a tough challenge due to Financial Fair Play (FFP) restrictions, which limit the club’s ability to make significant signings or departures in the mid-season window.
Amorim himself has recognized the situation, admitting, “We don’t have that possibility in January if we don’t take some players [out].”
Despite the financial constraints, Manchester United supporters, including Adekunle Gold, are hoping that Amorim can lead the team to a much-needed turnaround in the second half of the season.
