Adadama Ghedina Women Association yesterday 14 June honored the Director General of CRS Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr Betta Edu, when they visited to felicitate with her over the just concluded inauguration of state executives and appointees which she was among.
“We as Adadama people must continue to stand with the state Governor, Sen (Prof) Ben Ayade and his wife Dr Mrs Linda Ayade and also support our own son Rt. Hon. John Gaul Lebo who is now a Speaker to see that this new wind of transformation which His Excellency, Senator (Prof) Ben Ayade is bringing into Cross River State will continue until everything changes for better in Jesus name. Amen”, the DG, Dr Betta Edu said.
She also noted that the Speaker has been inviting chiefs and decision makers from Adadama to find out what is going on especially in the area of communal crisis, noting that the state government is working so hard to end our security challanges.
On her pledges to the women group, Dr Edu said “as part of our priority in the next one year, we will be making the health center in Adadama 100℅ functional as we would renovate, equip it and provide drugs”. She also promised to assist the extremely poor women and aged women who can still invest in small scale businesses. She promise to provide scholarship to school children in Adadama.
Finally she informed them of several programs initiated by the wife of the Governor, Dr. Linda Ayade for women and children through her pet project Mediatrix Development Foundation stating that the wife of the Governor Dr. Linda Ayade has Adadama women at heart.
Earlier speaking, the President of the group, Dr Marcellina Edu, said Adadama Ghedina Women Association is here to felicitate and celebrate with you over your successful inauguration recently as Director General of CRSPHCDA.
“We remain grateful and thankful to God for an opportunity given to our own. We sincerely appreciate our vibrant and proactive governor, Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade for developmental strides recorded in all sectors, especially in the health sector and found it worthy to appoint you as DG, Cross River State Primary Health Care Development Agency. We would continue to support Her Excellency, Dr Linda Ayade who has dedicated her time to salvage our women and children from different kind of ailment through her constant free medical outreach and hunt malaria initiative of her foundation, Mediatrix Development Foundation”.
Dr Marcellina went on to commend the DG on her exploit and zeal to get to the target groups especially through her yearly health outreaches in several villages which Adadama community is a beneficiary.
Highpoint of the visit was the dancing and singing in Adadama language to the admiration of the DG who joined them in praising the Lord Almighty for the good things he has done to Abi LGA and CRS at large.
