Job Description

Datacentrix is seeking a Senior IT Account Manager (IT Sales) to join our dynamic Infrastructure & Managed Services team in Durban, KwaZulu Natal. 

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in selling Enterprise Complex Solutions (multi-vendor Solutions) within the Durban Region. Must have in-depth knowledge of the Durban Market and established relationships at senior management level.

Requirements:

  • Matric or Grade 12
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience as an IT Account Manager, selling complex multi-vendor enterprise solutions.
  • Must have consistently reached minimum GP targets of R8 Mill +
  • Experience in selling to customer needs by presenting solutions that will solve their issues through having an expert level of knowledge, where product functionality and business environment is strategically matched.
  • Ability to build long-standing business relationships with C-level executives.
  • Performing presentations to C-Level executives.
  • Experience in end-to-end management of a sales channel is vital, this includes experience in account, management, selling and product strategizing with the ability to close large deals.
  • Sales & marketing experience in an IT-solutions selling environment with a focus on defining and delivering solutions, expertise in selling a range of IT products and services is essential.
  • Motivating for sales, prospecting, sales planning, selling to customer needs, continuously gain market knowledge, with an in-depth knowledge of the Durban Market.
  • Must have selling skills, communication skills, presentation skills, negotiating skills and other sales related skills.
  • Experience in the Business Solutions IT industry is highly desired.
  • Practice professionalism at all times.
  • Must have a high energy level and drive to meet sales goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Selling the Datacentrix Value Proposition offerings into new earmarked clients.
  • Identify opportunities by researching industry and related events, publications, and
    announcements; marrying up solutions offerings with business problems.
  • Locating or proposing potential business deals by contacting potential clients, discovering and
    exploring opportunities.
  • Screen potential business deals by analysing market strategies, deal requirements, potential,
    and financials. Full understanding of the sales cycle required.
  • Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts.
  • Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional.

  • Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different.
