Two yet-to-be identified students of the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, Kaduna State were pictured allegedly playing Cards (also known as Whot) during lectures.
PARADISE NEWS learnt that the students were of the Faculty of Education and were seen during the week playing cards inside the Red Theatre lecture hall when lectures were ongoing.
According to Idris Ahmed, who shared the picture on Facebook, the students were playing the card games without lifting up their heads.
“Two students at a tertiary institution in Northern Nigeria (allegedly, Faculty of Education, ABU Zaria), playing stupid card games, while lectures are going on. What a waste of opportunity! No wonder, we produce graduates who cannot read or write properly in any language, let alone in English, the official language. I feel outraged about this”, Ahmed wrote.
Another Student of the Institution, identified as Jamilu Bello, testified that the varsity is ABU, Zaria.
Bello wrote, “This is the Red Theatre of Faculty of Education, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. We had a lecture there last Wednesday.
“This is our class, The Red Theatre of Faculty of Education, ABU Zaria. You can see the NUESA Logo on the Lecturer’s Standing Table.”
