Aaron Ramsey wants to see Arsenal win the league as a fan
Former Gunner and current OGC Nice midfielder Aaron Ramsey is watching his old club’s progress from afar and hoping Mikel Arteta’s side win the Premier League this season.
Speaking to the media whilst on international duty with Wales, Ramsey responded to a question about whether he wanted to see his former club lift the trophy in May.
“Of course,” Ramsey said. “It’s part of me, I spent 10-11 years there. For me, for them to go on and win the league, I’m as much a fan as anybody. It would be absolutely great.
“I still know so many players and members of staff there, and the fans, they deserve it.”

As he mentions, Ramsey spent over a decade with Arsenal in north London, winning three FA Cups and two Community Shields.
The midfielder was most pivotal in the finals against Hull City in 2014 and Chelsea in 2017, scoring the winning goal on both occasions.
Arsenal had gone on a trophy drought lasting almost nine years before that cup win over Hull, so it was a pivotal moment for the club and the player’s career.
Now the team are trying to end the 19-year drought without a Premier League title. Sadly, Ramsey won’t be able to score the vital winner this time.
