A Passionate Appeal To Governor Ayade To Pay LG Workers & Pensioners! —By Prince Thomas Abi Jr

My dear governor, I bring to your notice the non payment of workers and pensioners in the local governments of Cross River State. Sir, you had said no one is going to sleep with an empty stomach but as I write this, many of our workers and pensioners under the local government payroll are sleeping with empty stomachs. They can not afford their medications. They are sick, weak and tired and currently fasting as a result of no money to buy food.

Sir, you are a man who we know has a kind heart, a man with a kind disposition but a situation where state workers receive their salary on the 1st of May and local government workers and pensioners are yet to receive their pension and salary for the month of May is something that breaks my heart, Sir.

Sir, these people voted for you, they mean well for you. They love you, they value you and pray for you daily. They are the reason why you are in government. They are your people. They trust in you and believe in your government. Please Sir, I plead that their salary be paid. I do understand that the State is facing hard times but, my governor they are your people. They are starving, weak and wallowing in hunger.

My leader, please come to their rescue.

God bless you as you work towards developing our dear state.
