A CALL ON THE CROSS RIVER STATE GOVERNMENT TO RELEASE CHIEF ODIGHA ODIGHA
Distinguished people of Cross River State, I greet you all In Jesus Name.
It is no longer news that Chief Odigha Odigha, the Chairman of NGOCE (Non Governmental Organisations Coalition for Environment in Cross River State has been arrested by the Police in Cross River State. Information reaching me has it that he was arrested & taken to Diamond Hill Police in Calabar.
It was learn his warrant was issued by the Commissioner of Justice & Attorney General of the state, Barr Joe Abang.
What are his offences? This may not be unconnected with his activities on preserving Cross River State rainforest from being depleted by the government & other politicians.
Must politicians use their powers to intimidate their citizens? This arrest and refusal of his bail is a gross violation of his rights as a citizen of Nigeria, it is unconstitutional, null & void and should be condemned by Cross Riverians.
The time has come when Cross Riverians need to come together in one voice and say no to all forms of impunity and give the people a new face of life.
True leadership is when a leader enables his or her followers to realize their full potentials. In the life we live today, it is more important to pay attention to your plans and actions than to listen to the negative things people say about your project.
Let us not allow our dreams to be aborted, our hopes dashed and our destinies destroyed. SAY NO TO THE ILLEGAL ARREST & DETENTION OF CHIEF ODIGHA ODIGHA. SAY NO TO INTIMIDATION, SAY NO TO IMPUNITY.
CROSS RIVER STATE GOVERNMENT SHOULD RELEASE CHIEF ODIGHA ODIGHA & CHARGE HIM TO COURT IF THERE IS ANYTHING AGAINST HIM.
RESPECT OUR RIGHTS AS CITIZENS.

That is what we get when wrong people are placed in the right place “Atams” are coursing really probkems in this state. They say “comb a dog and wash a dog, a dog is still a dog. Danosky
@ danosky, wot do you actually mean by “atams are really causing problems in the state”? Instead of criticizing constructively, there you are bringing ethnicity into a serious & urgent issue as this. If i may ask, does crs belong only to an efik man?
