BUTTE CREEK CANYON — Pylons where the Honey Run Covered Bridge once stood rose above the waters of Butte Creek on Wednesday.
The rebuild of the iconic bridge is expected to continue in June, when the Honey Run Covered Bridge Association plans have large cranes place a newly built bridge across the span of the creek.
The nonprofit group is also hosting a golf tournament at Bailey Creek Golf Course, 433 Durkin Drive in Lake Almanor on Saturday, June 8, according to its website, hrcoveredbridge.org. Funds raised will help cover expenses of the park.
