A blood donation drive is held in Ashgabat

    June 14, 20221 Min Read

On the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, Turkmenistan’s Scientific and Clinical Center of Cardiology has already begun a traditional donor action, in which any volunteer between the ages of 18 and 60 can participate.

The absence of high blood pressure is the basic need to be a donor. The Center also told “Turkmenportal” that persons who have had hepatitis are unable to donate blood.

The blood taken during the activity will be sent to the Directorate of the Center for Infectious Diseases’ Blood Center, which uses advanced technology. The Center has a throughput of more than 100,000 donors each year, with the ability to extract roughly 50 thousand liters of blood, which is then processed into components. The center is outfitted with dozens of technologies from renowned medical equipment manufacturers for the collection and storage of blood and its components.

Today is the day when everyone’s help will be needed to save someone’s life. Please hurry up and do good!
