Materials Planner – FMCG at RPO Recruitment

Responsibilities

Manage and optimize inventory levels using demand forecasting and material requirements planning
Collaborate closely with production, procurement, and logistics to align material availability with production schedules
Analyze and report on stock levels, lead times, and material usage to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials
Implement strategies for inventory control to minimize waste and excess stock
Continuously optimize processes and systems within the Material Planning function for efficiency
Perform regular review of Material Master Data in ERP systems to ensure accuracy
Support cross-functional teams in problem-solving and crisis management related to material shortages or excesses
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
Assist in training and development of team members in materials planning best practices

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
Minimum 3 years of experience in materials planning within the FMCG industry
Strong understanding of supply chain processes and inventory management
Proficient in ERP systems, preferably SAP or similar
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
