Bandai Namco is gearing up for another closed beta test for their upcoming 3D fighting title, Tekken 8. On October 20, those who are lucky enough to be selected will be given an opportunity to try out the next installment in the long-running fighting game franchise ahead of its launch next year.
In order to better prepare players for the beta experience, Bandai Namco has released official move listings for the three new contenders joining the fight in the upcoming test. Feng, Azucena, and Raven’s move lists are now available for viewing, and while they don’t include every move these warriors have, they do drill down to the key maneuvers for each character.
The Tekken 8 closed beta test will give players the ability to choose between 19 different playable characters. Added to the 16 of the previous beta test are the aforementioned Feng, Azucena, and Raven.
Providing players with core moves and combos to get started, these move listings include maneuvers such as Heat Engager moves, the inputs for their Heat Smash, how to perform their Rage Arts, and more. Additionally, we get a sample combo per character to help get you started.
On top of the inputs for these moves, each move list also provides details on what each character’s unique effects for the Heat System are. Feng, for example, gains access to the following moves when Heat is active: Essence of Iron Palm, Essence of Nian Zhang Mie Ba, and Yinglong Sea Splitter.
Bandai Namco has also included character descriptions that detail what each fighter’s motivations and story are in Tekken 8. We know Azucena is the “Coffee Queen” and is the only daughter of the family that owns the Ortiz Farm, but did you also know that she is an MMA champion?
The Tekken 8 closed beta test is set to kick off on October 20, 2023 at 1 a.m. PDT and will run until October 23, 2023 at 12 a.m. PDT. Sign ups close on October 11 at 12 a.m. PDT.
If you managed to get into the initial closed network test for Tekken 8, you will automatically be entered into the upcoming closed beta. Those who played the closed network test on PlayStation 5 can already preload the beta update right now, and Xbox Series X|S and Steam users will be able to do the same on October 10.
