The transfer race between Chelsea and Juventus has been getting more intense as the days go on.
It’s been understood that both cubs are desperate to sign Sancho, however whereas Juventus have been looking primarily at a loan deal, Chelsea are looking at securing a deal for the winger, agreeing another deal to see Raheem Sterling go the other way.
Initially for Chelsea, defender Ben Chilwell was also in the mix, however United have decided against pursuing this any further. However, sporting director Dan Ashworth is keen on signing Sterling, having admired him since their time working together at the England camp.
New came out earlier that Sancho’s preferred destination would be Stamford Bridge, but that hasn’t put Juve off, with the Serie A side now submitting their first official bid for the 24-year-old.

Reports from Gianluca Di Marzio have claimed that the bid is in fact for a loan deal, with a fee for United of around €7.5 million.
It’s unknown how United are going to respond, with a few things stacked against The Old Lady’s offer.
Firstly is the lure of Raheem Sterling from a deal with Chelsea. With Marcus Rashford under performing and Troy Deeney referring to Antony as “nothing” at United, a winger like Sterling would certainly be a strong option to have.
Secondly is that fact that United are looking to part ways with Sancho on a permanent basis rather than a temporary loan. It was reported that United have been trying to negotiate the loan deal having an obligatory purchase at the end, which would certainly make the loan look more manageable.
With deadline day only a matter of days away now, no doubt we’ll hear of United’s response within the next 24 hours.
