Terry Bogard’s gameplay trailer for Street Fighter 6 was recently revealed. He’s scheduled to become available on September 24, 2024.
Since Terry has been playable earlier at Gamescom 2024, we’ve begun to garner an understanding of how the character works from a gameplay standpoint. Additionally, we’ve also been able to spot a few Easter eggs featuring Terry, including his character select intro where he can be observed playing on a Neo Geo arcade cabinet.
In a recent video upload, Rooflemonger reviewed many of the details that have surfaced about the upcoming DLC fighter. Needless to say, there are some interesting tidbits about Terry that really demonstrate how the character’s introduction into Street Fighter 6 is a real love letter for the fighting game community.
At the Pão Pão Café, Terry’s home stage in Street Fighter 6, some barrels to the side can be found. Once these barrels are destroyed, ducks will come pouring out of them.
This may seem random at first glance, but it’s actually a reference pointing towards the Duck King from the Fatal Fury series. Coincidentally, one of the recent Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves trailers has seemingly dropped hints with regards to Geese Howard and the Duck King.
Rooflemonger also highlighted how many of Terry’s moves will work in Street Fighter 6. For example, we recently found out that Terry’s Rising Tackle is accessed by a dragon punch motion in Street Fighter 6 despite typically utilizing a charge motion.
