Official Outfit 2 screenshots revealed for Terry Bogard give closer look at iconic Garou costume in Street Fighter 6

Terry Bogard is of course synonymous with his original red plus white vest and hat combo from Fatal Fury, but he also had one of the greatest redesigns in fighting games once upon a time.

Many fans were correct in their presumption of what Terry’s Outfit 2 was going to be in Street Fighter 6, and now we can get a better look at Capcom’s rendition of his other iconic costume after witnessing the Wild Wolf’s gameplay trailer this week.

Capcom has shared a handful of screenshots for Terry’s additional fit in 4K resolution.

This outfit was of course pulled from Garou: Mark of the Wolves where it first appeared for an aged-up Terry having taken on the responsibility of raising Rock Howard.

Mr. Bogard ditched the hat, got a haircut and traded in his old digs for a slick leather bomber jacket with the Running Wild star on his back, which are all present in his Street Fighter 6 version here.

It is interesting, however, to compare how the costume / design appears in Capcom’s fighting game compared to SNK

If you look back at the Garou original, there’s not really much difference to be found aside from the added detail and fidelity in the RE Engine making the leather and denim look much more realistic.

Compared to the newest iteration, though, in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, the versions of Terry are looking a bit unique from each other.

The return of Fatal Fury after 25 years has Terry appearing a bit bulkier, especially around the torso, while his jacket is a lighter brown and his hair is a much more muted blond.

In SF6, Terry in his Garou outfit looks a bit more mature in the face, and his hair is a much brighter yellow.

A lot of this just comes down to the graphical style and approach of both games since City of the Wolves is going for more or a popping comic book aesthetic while SF6 toes the line between realism and exaggerated features.

Technically speaking, the conversion of Terry into the RE Engine appears to be well done, but how much you actually like it comes down to personal preference.

His face does look a bit funny though in the still of him messing with his hair.

It will be interesting to see if Mai Shiranui’s second costume in SF6 will be her new leather biker design from City of the Wolves that was just revealed too when she launches next year.

This Outfit 2 option for Terry will be available when the second DLC character launches on September 24.

If this costume is like the others, the Garou fit should be just 50 Fighter Coins ($1 USD) or can be unlocked in the game by maxing out Terry’s master level in World Tour.
