The 2XKO Alpha Lab test is currently underway. Select players were chosen for this closed alpha test to try out Riot Games’ upcoming Versus-style fighter for the first time from the comfort of their own homes.
We are seeing a ton of combos and tech shared on Twitter, and players are finding some really interesting things already. Among those who have discovered effective tech for 2XKO is the game’s current best player SonicFox, who has apparently found a 100% touch of death combo within just a day of the test going live.
Now, you might be wondering why we’re calling SonicFox the best 2XKO player so far. Well, not only does this style of game lend itself incredibly well to SonicFox’s skill set, but the first ever competitive event for 2XKO — the FlyFighters 2XKO Invitational — was won by none other than the NRS game / Skullgirls champion.
SonicFox’s touch-of-death combo here uses a team of Ekko and Ahri, and in order to score this devastating sequence you will be looking at using almost every ounce of meter and resource you got.
It starts with a corner to corner loop that ends with Ekko knocking the opponent down, then hitting an OTG for the pick back up. We see a cancel into her level 1 super, which can also be looped essentially into itself while in the corner.
After three of these loops, Sonic makes a tag into Ahri to keep the sequence going. With Ahri now on point, SonicFox utilizes 2XKO’s “2x Assist” fuse to have Ekko perform two assists back to back with no cooldown.
Ahri closes the whole thing out with a big level 2 super and that’s all she wrote.
