Manchester United have made a strong start to the transfer window by signing Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro.
The club is now focused on acquiring additional targets, including Manuel Ugarte from PSG, Matthijs de Ligt from Bayern Munich, and Noussair Mazraoui, also from Bayern Munich.
A verbal agreement has reportedly been reached with Bayern Munich for Noussair Mazraoui.
The Red Devils are also actively working on selling some players to raise funds, which can then be used to sign the aforementioned targets.
Currently, United are in negotiations to sell Aaron Wan-Bissaka to West Ham United.
Chiesa prefers United over rival English clubs
Amid these transfer activities, a report from Gazetta Dello Sport claims that Federico Chiesa has indicated his preference for a move to United over English rivals such as Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
Chiesa, 26, scored nine goals in 33 Serie A appearances last season but is not considered indispensable by manager Thiago Motta.
The report claims Juventus are open to selling him, and a deal could cost United around €25-30 million.
However, Federico Chiesa is not currently a priority for United, as their focus remains on other targets.
The potential acquisition of Chiesa could depend on whether one of United’s wingers, such as Antony or Jadon Sancho, departs this summer.
Despite interest from Turkey’s Besiktas and France’s Paris Saint-Germain respectively, the likelihood of these players leaving appears low at this time.
In addition to Zirkzee and Yoro, Erik ten Hag, United’s manager, aims to further strengthen the squad before the transfer window closes.
However, United may need to offload more players to afford new signings.
Sancho is one potential departure from United, appearing more likely to leave than any other winger.
PSG has shown interest and has reached an agreement in principle with the player, though the final terms between the clubs are yet to be settled.
United is also open to offers for Scott McTominay, Casemiro, Antony and Victor Lindelof, but high wages could complicate these potential transfers.
