The Abia State Police Command on Friday paraded several suspects arrested for various crimes, including armed robbery, kidnapping, and child trafficking.
The command also displayed recovered items such as firearms, vehicles, and illicit drugs.
Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) ASP Maureen Chinaka, speaking on behalf of Commissioner of Police Kenechukwu Onwuemelie, said the command has made significant strides in combating crime.
She revealed that 142 men and 20 women were arrested, with recovered items including Biafran and Mozambican currencies, a police camouflage cap, and railway sleepers.
The PPRO added that the command has rescued trafficked children and successfully prosecuted numerous suspects.
Some of the arrested individuals include Innocent Nwaeze (29), Uchenna Nwoko (32), Uzoma Erondo (44), Chinyere Nwaja (45), Amadikwa Chigozie (34), Benjamin Ukaegbu (62), Kingsley Emmanuel (22), and Atuloma Emmanuel (20).
