It’s been nearly 29 years since the original Mortal Kombat movie was released. Though it’s certainly aged, there’s something truly nostalgic about this classic.
Earlier today, the 1995 movie skins for Scorpion and Reptile were released in Mortal Kombat 1. What’s particularly interesting is that the Scorpion movie costume is free of charge and has already been added to everyone’s accounts.
Scorpion had a unique reason for joining the forces of Outworld during the first Mortal Kombat tournament featured in the 1995 film. His goal was to defeat Earthrealm in order to prevent them from killing Bi-Han, the original Sub-Zero. Ultimately, he wanted that pleasure for himself.
This created a somewhat awkward dynamic in which Scorpion and Sub-Zero were actually working together. Unfortunately for Scorpion, he was felled by Johnny Cage shortly before Sub-Zero was killed by Liu Kang during the tournament.
As for the Reptile, his Mortal Kombat 9 skin can be acquired for 500 Dragon Krystals. It comes with 4 unique palettes.
During filming of the movie, Linden Ashby, the actor who played Johnny Cage suffered a bruised kidney during the Scorpion fight scene. Meanwhile, Robin Shou, the actor who play Liu Kang, suffered two fractured ribs on his right side during his scene against Reptile, but he was able to carry out the rest of the scene anyhow before going to the hospital.
