United are really stepping up their game in searching for more strike options to support Rasmus Hojlund in the years to come at Old Trafford.

In the recent weeks we’ve seen a number of links to exciting prospects and established players across Europe, with Premier League, Ligue 1 and Bundesliga goal scorers being scouted by United’s team.

Wolves’ Mattheus Cunha was reported as being watched by United scouts, with the 25-year-old joining the English club from Atletico Madrid. The Olympic Gold Medallist has had an impressive career so far, with 22 goal contributions in 36 games for Wolves this season and grabbing the Golden Boot in the CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament, sending the Brazilian squad to the 2021 Tokyo Olympics where they ultimately won gold.

Next, LOSC Lille’s Jonathan David has been linked to an Old Trafford move, with Lille announcing that the 24-year-old, despite being their first choice striker, is available to leave this summer. The Canadian striker has an impressive 84 goals and 18 assists in 183 games across all competitions for the Ligue 1 club, making him a fantastic goal scoring option.

Hoffenheim’s Maximilian Beier has also been looked at by United scouts, with the Red Devils being first team to approach the German club for information on the 21-year-old’s availability.

Whilst any of these options would provide an immediate impact for the squad, Sir Jim Ratcliffe is also looking to bolster the academy strike options to develop into the Red Devils of tomorrow.

Whilst he would be unlikely to make an appearance to the main squad this year, reports from The Express suggest that Austrian teenager Oghenetejiri Adejenughure is being watched by United scouts to strengthen the academy ahead of joining the first team.

The 17-year-old has been a member of the RB Salzburg academy throughout his teenage years, also making 12 appearances for the Austria Under-17s team grabbing an impressive eight goals.

For the 2023/24 season, Adejenughure has been playing in the OFB Jugendliga Under-18s and has scored an impressive 16 goals in 20 games, helping the team to winning the title.

Having such an impressive goal scoring record already with youth on his side, it’s no surprise that the ex-United manager and current manager of the Austrian national team, Ralf Rangnick has tipped the striker for greatness and is bracing himself for the player to join the senior national squad.

With such praise and clear ability, it’s not just United looking to nab the 16-year-old, with AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund also circling to bring the Austrian prodigy to their clubs.

It’s understood that United have already held talks with Adejenughure’s entourage to discuss a move to Old Trafford, however it’s unknown what the teen’s camp feels about a potential move.
