The endorsement took place on Thursday in Awka during a strategic meeting of the newly executives, signaling a major step in the state chapter’s internal alignment before the March 3, 2026 congress in Awka.
Their unanimous decision is expected to influence relevant stakeholders in the state including, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, Senator Uche Ekwinife, Engr Azuka Okwusa, Engr John Bosco Onunkwo and others to support Ejidike’s chairmanship.
Speaking further during the meeting, the newly elected chairman of Awka South local government area, Hon Frank Ndibe, said the endorsement of Ejidike is seen as an effort to sustain peace, unity, togetherness and to strengthen the Anambra APC’s internal cohesion ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Ejidike has the wherewithal to further reposition the party as a credible alternative to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nigeria.
“We are unanimously endorsing and returning him back to the chairmanship position because, he has changed the negative perception of APC in Anambra State
“With Ejidike, Anambra APC is fully set to win the state for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second term bid,” Ndibe boasted.
