The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State, has endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in office, reiterating its commitment to strengthening party unity and rebuilding its political structures ahead of the 2027 general elections.
It was gathered that the endorsement took place at the state party’s headquarters in Awka, on Tuesday, during its harmonization meeting ahead of the state Congresses.
Speaking further at the meeting, the State Chairman of the party, Chief Basil Ejidike, declared that the party’s main goal is to mobilize members across the 21 local government area of the state in political collaboration with the State-ruling All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA to achieved at least 95 per cent increase in votes for President Tinubu victory in 2027.
According to him, the unanimous endorsement is to ensure that Tinubu returns as President of Nigeria for second term come 2027.
“Anambra APC is very much happy because, the State governor, Chukwuma Charles Soludo is equally supporting the reelection of Tinubu.
Ejidike who emphasised that unity remains the foundation of any meaningful political progress, said: “No political strategy, no matter how transparent can succeed in an atmosphere of division. Our foremost responsibility is unity.
The ‘One APC, One Tinubu Project’ must be our guiding principle in Anambra State.
The Chairman emphasised that the party leadership under his watch in line with Tinubu’s expectations, requires harmony, collaboration, and coordinated mobilisation across the 21 LGAs in the state.
“Our grassroots structures must be vibrant, functional and connected to the people. Every ward, every unit and every community must feel the presence and impact of the APC led- government in Nigeria.
“This is how we will consolidate our gains and deliver an even more convincing victory for President Tinubu in the next election”.
Ejidike reiterated that the Anambra State APC is fully prepared to ensure that President Tinubu is re-elected in 2027.
Also addressing the gathering, the party candidate for November 8, 2025:gubernatorial election in the state, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, Senator Uche Ekwinife and Engr Azuka Okwusa described the meeting as the largest APC stakeholders’ assembly since the conclusion of the 2025 governorship election in the state.
They expressed delight that peace had returned to Anambra APC.
The endorsement motion was moved by Senator Emmanuel Anosike and seconded by the serving member, representing Orumba North Constituency at the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon Paul Ubu.
