Arc System Works has announced an exciting new chapter for the world of Guilty Gear as 2021’s Guilty Gear Strive will be getting an anime adaptation officially titled “Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Riders.”
Details are somewhat limited at this early point in the process, but we do have a few along with a countdown for when we can expect the first trailer and the next big information drop. Read on for everything we know thus far.
ArcSys is partnering with Sanzigen Studios for production, whom they teamed with previously to create Sol Badguy’s “Find Your Way” music video in Strive, and has hired on Shigeru Morikawa (famous for “Argonavis the Movie: Axia”) to direct.
Guilty Gear writer Norimitsu Kaihō and Seiji Mizushima (famous for Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Fullmetal Alchemist) are also tied to the project. The former will handle series composition and the latter is slated to be associate producer.
That about rounds out the information available thus far, but fans won’t have to chomp at the bit for too much longer as the trailer will be unveiled in about three weeks at Anime Expo 2024 in Los Angeles, California.
Said trailer will be shown during a panel on July 4 at 11:30 a.m. PDT featuring Norimitsu Kaiho, Seiji Mizushima and Strive Producer Ken Miyauchi, where more Riders details will surely be shared.
The anime has its own website that currently doesn’t have much beyond a ticking countdown clock to Anime Expo 2024, but we’ll be bookmarking and checking back on the regular for additional details.
Guilty Gear Strive just recently finished up its third year of DLC content with the release of Slayer back in May, and we already know that a fourth season of DLC content is en route
