Mbonu disclosed this while presenting an excellence award to the State Commissioner for Work, Engr Ifeanyi Okoma at his office in Awka, on Friday.

“Mr Soludo has overseen the construction or rehabilitation of numerous roads, including the Ekwulobia Flyover, which is now nearing completion. His administration’s focus on connecting rural towns to commercial hubs appears to have resonated strongly with voters in the hinterland, where bad roads had long hindered economic activity.

“His free education policy for pupils in public schools, one youth two skills initiative and free antenatal and delivery care in state hospitals, further endeared him to low-income families. These policies aligned with his “Solution Agenda,” a promise to reduce inequality and expand access to social services.

“The governor also pushed major urban renewal projects, most notably the transformation of OKpoko, a once-notorious slum, into a planned urban community. He also initiated the construction of a new Anambra Government House (Light House), Solution fun city and Awka City Stadium.

“The governor’s victory was majorly as a result of the excellent performance of the State Ministry of Work, and which is why the management of FreeNews Magazine dim it fits to honor it Commissioner, Engr Ifeanyi Okoma for guilding and projecting the vision of the governor, Mbonu expressed satisfaction.”

Receiving the award, the Works Commissioner, dedicated the award to Governor Soludo, for being an exemplary leader in all aspect and for appointing him the Works commissioner.
