Though don’t expect it to fix Cyrax and Homelander
Homelander just released for everyone to use in Mortal Kombat 1, but it seems there’s still more work to be done.
NetherRealm Studios announced there’s going to be server maintenance hitting MK1 tomorrow morning, June 13.
According to their post, the maintenance period is scheduled to begin at 6 a.m. PT / 9 a.m. ET though it doesn’t say how long they plan for it to last.
During this time, all online functionality will remain unavailable including online matchmaking, leaderboards, the in-game shop, rewards and more.
On Thursday, June 13, #MK1 will go offline at 6am PT/8am CT for maintenance. Stay tuned to this post for updates regarding online status.

The previous update did introduce some new issues to the game like Homelander’s infinite blockstring and Cyrax’s Kameo seemingly be reverted to close to his original glory though we shouldn’t expect any fixes after this maintenance.
NetherRealm stated they are working on a new update to address those problems, but they won’t release it until after Final Kombat happens this weekend.
We are aware of the changes affecting the Cyrax Kameo and issues impacting Homelander. Cyrax will remain as he currently is for Final Kombat, but we are working on adjustments for him, as well as Homelander related fixes for a patch releasing shortly after Final Kombat. #MK1

So it’s not clear what this server downtime is going to be for though our best guess is it could tie into Final Kombat like we saw for big events during the last game or even prepping the game for the update after the tournament ends.
They will also be giving away new Twitch Drop items by watching the tournament too.
Final Kombat is set to take place June 14–16 in Toronto, Canada where we’ll see the first world champion of Mortal Kombat 1 officially crowned.
