The candidate of Action Alliance (AA), Ozo Jeff Nweke, has condemned the gruesome killing of voter by gunmen during Saturday November 8, 2025 governorship election in Anambra State.
The Paradise News learnt that the victim was an APGA councillor in Owerre Ezukala Ward 1 in Orumba South Local Government Area of the State, where the unfortunate incident happened.
It was reported also that the gunmen reportedly stormed the voting centre in the Owerre Ezukala ward one and shot the councillor death while he was attempting to cast his vote.

Speaking further during his pro-election briefing with Journalists at his office in Awka on Monday, Nweke called on the police and other security operatives in the state to urgently intervened and get those involved arrested and persecuted.
According to him, what happened at Orumba South Local Government Area during Saturday November 8, 2025 gubernatorial election in Anambra State should be condemned totally by every law abiding Nigerian.
“As far as I am concerned, the just concluded guber election in Anambra State was peaceful, free of intimidation, harassment and vote buying as been reported by the press. What happened at Orumba South was just an unfortunate incident.
“The election has come and gone and the winner emerges. What is left for us the losers is to joint hand with governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo to actualized his vision of making Anambra a livable and prosperous state in Nigeria. The election went peacefully well. There was large tourn out of voters. There was electoral maturity during the voting process
“From my personal assessment, there was no record of intimidation, harassment and vote buying. I didn’t witnessed any of the above mentioned incident in Awka and it environ where I casted my vote.
“I will not go to Court to challenged the outcome, because the process was marked credible, free and fair,” he declared.
Nweke while congratulating Soludo on the victory, urged him to focus more of his second agenda on security and job creation.
