STEM Subject Lead – Primary School Gr R – 7
Purpose of Role:
- The primary objective of the STEM Subject Lead is to elevate our STEM education standards and ensure our scholars are equipped with the critical thinking, problem-solving, and technical skills needed for future success. This role is integral to our mission of providing a world-class education and preparing our scholars for the demands of the 21st century.
Reports To: Primary School Curriculum and Assessment Manager
Responsibilities:
- The STEM Subject Lead will be expected to:
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and expertise in Science, Technology and Mathematics at the Intersen phase
- Develop high-quality STEM assessments and tasks that inspire and challenge teachers and scholars.
- Foster a collaborative team environment, working closely with colleagues to share best practices and innovative teaching strategies.

- A proven track record of academic excellence and a passion for STEM education.
- Conducive leadership skills with the ability to inspire and mentor fellow educators.
- Favourable communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders
- A commitment to task delivery and meeting pressing deadlines.

Role Demand:
- It is important to acknowledge that this role involves significant administrative responsibilities and will require hours beyond their current school role. The successful candidate must be prepared to dedicate additional time and effort to fulfil these demands effectively.
Benefits
Compensation: R2300 per month
Limited Duration : On a Month to month renewable basis as required
