After a bit of a wait, it’s just about time for Mortal Kombat 1 to receive their next guest fighter after Omni-Man and Peacemaker.
NetherRealm Studios held their latest Kombat Kast event today to show off much more of Homelander and Ferra in action with some extra fun stuff for the fans.
To close out the stream, the devs unveiled one of Homelander’s Brutality finishers that is in fact quite brutal without being completely destructive.
In it, the super-powered mad man grabs his opponent and pushes his thumbs into their eyes until they explode and spray him with blood before saying “You picked a stupid way to die.”
We already know it’s not Antony Starr voicing Homelander here and is very easy to tell with that line delivery too.
This appears as though it could be referencing a few scenes from The Boys’ TV show though we won’t go into more detail to avoid some obvious spoilers there.
We’re not clear what the conditions are to pull it off yet, though, it appears the Brutality is activated after his normal double slap string while the opponent is low on life.

Typically, NRS also reveals a Fatality too during a Kombat Kast, but Homelander’s gameplay trailer already showed them off where he either throws someone through a plane or melts their head with his heat vision for more references.
In the stream footage, they also unveiled a fashionable new Mileena skin coming to MK1 as well that looks like some trendy athletic gear with an MK-branded puffy crop top coat.
As far as we can tell, this outfit doesn’t seem to reference anything from the fighting game series, but it will probably be quite popular among players.

It also goes to show that NRS really seems to like giving Mileena new skins more than like anyone else on the cast.
Homelander will be joining the Mortal Kombat 1 roster tomorrow, June 4, for Kombat Pack owners alongside presumably this new Mileena skin too though Ferra is going to launch later on presumably this month.
