PDBANK Mobile Outreach Marks World Humanitarian Day 2025

As the world commemorates World Humanitarian Day 2025, PADBANK Mobile Outreach joins voices across the globe to celebrate the spirit of service, compassion, and sacrifice that humanitarian actors demonstrate daily in communities worldwide. This year’s observance emphasis the urgency of humanitarian services in reaching vulnerable groups who are often left behind.

In line with this global call, PADBANK Mobile Outreach is officially launching its Padbank Community Project today at Adiabo Community, Odukpani LGA, The project seeks to address the pressing issue of menstrual health and hygiene management for women and girls, especially those in underserved and hard-to-reach communities.

Through this initiative, PADBANK Mobile Outreach is set to:
Distribute 8,000 sanitary pads across communities in Cross River State

Respond to 36 key menstrual health and hygiene issues

Reach and empower over 2,000 young women and girls, including those living with disabilities and other special needs

Humanitarian service begins with recognizing dignity. Menstrual health is not a luxury but a necessity, and every girl deserves to manage her period with confidence, safety, and pride. The Padbank Community Project is our contribution to restoring dignity and advancing gender equity.”

PADBANK Mobile Outreach calls on government institutions, development partners, corporate sponsors, faith-based organizations, and well-meaning individuals to join hands in sustaining this vision. Partnerships and sponsorships are essential to expanding the reach of this project and ensuring that no girl or woman is left behind due to lack of access to basic menstrual hygiene needs.

As we celebrate World Humanitarian Day, let us remember that small acts of kindness, whether through funding, volunteering, or advocacy, go a long way in shaping a more just and inclusive society. Together, we can break the silence around menstrual health and empower women and girls to live with dignity.
