The All Progressives Congress (APC) Central Alliance for Oden Ewa has condoned its Patron and Principal, Hon. Oden Ewa, the Honourable Commissioner for Special Duties and Intergovernmental Relations, over the death of his father, late Professor Ibiang Oden Ewa, at his residence in Ugep, Yakurr local government area.
The condolence visit also provided opportunity for the group to present its token of support and solidarity ahead of the forthcoming funeral of Late Professor Ibiang Oden Ewa, Grand Patron of the APC Central Alliance. scheduled for eighth and ninth of August 2025.
Speaking, the Central Coordinator, APC Central Alliance for Oden Ewa, Hon. Obol Etim, reiterated the Alliance’s firm commitment to stand by the bereaved family during this moment of grief and described the Late Prof. Ibiang Oden Ewa as a respected father figure, revered intellectual, and a guiding light whose legacy has continuously inspired the values of service and loyalty within the APC family, State and academic world.

In his response, Hon. Oden Ewa expressed profound gratitude to the leadership and members of the APC Central Alliance for the gesture of love and concern noting that their support was not only timely but deeply touching, as a reminder of the unity and shared sense of purpose that binds the Alliance across the Central Senatorial District.
He thanked the Central Coordinator, Chapter and Ward Coordinators, the entire membership for their contributions across the sixty-six Council Wards under the Central Senatorial District, while assuring the team of his continuous commitment to the ideals and developmental goals of the APC in Cross River State and beyond.
He urged the group to remain steadfast and united as the party advanced towards future engagements.
The visit was climaxed with special prayers for the bereaved family and gifts including food stuff, drinks, beverages among others.
