Sony State of Play live stream

Update: The Sony State of Play stream is now live.

Sony is gearing up for their next big presentation that aims to showcase what all is coming to PlayStation 5 and PS VR2. These events generally see new announcements take place, reveals of new games and updates made, and general information about the current PlayStation landscape disclosed.

The company is holding their latest State of Play broadcast this afternoon, which promises over a half hour of updates. This live stream is set to kick off at 3 p.m. PT / 6 p.m. ET / 12 a.m. CEST.

“State of Play is back! Tune in live for updates on PS5 and PS VR2 titles, plus a look at PlayStation Studios games arriving later this year,” writes Sony about today’s presentation.

“The 30+ minute show features 14 titles, and begins May 30 at 3pm PT / 6pm ET | May 31 12am CEST / 7am JST on YouTube, Twitch, and TikTok. See you then!”

While these live streams are usually just a fun watch for gaming fans, many of you likely already know that we here at EventHubs feature these major video game broadcasts on our front page in anticipation of any fighting game announcements.

While we haven’t seen much on the front of fighting game companies hinting that they might be making a reveal here today, the timing for some things does line up and opens the door for potential fighting game announcements.

The biggest and best example of this is Street Fighter 6. Capcom’s latest entry in the legendary fighting game franchise has just wrapped up its first season of DLC content with the addition of Akuma, as well as the introduction of what many refer to as the Season 2 balance update.

Though the community is actively enjoying the latest the game has to offer, what’s coming next is still a mystery. We have seen Capcom make announcements on the State of Play bill in the past, so it’s probably not a bad idea to keep an eye on this live stream today.
