About the role

As an Inbound Sales Consultant, you’ll be using your selling skills and empathy, coupled with detailed product expertise to ensure our customers experience exceptional service and support across all customer journeys
Your energy will be focused on converting customers to Yoco while handling customer sales queries efficiently and effectively using all of Yoco’s sales-related systems. You have a significant role to play when acting as the voice of our customers

What you will be doing

  • Engage with high-potential merchants via phone, email, and other channels, in a timely, professional, and accurate manner, all while demonstrating a willingness to go the extra mile.
  • Manage a pipeline of sales leads, proactively contacting prospective merchants via phone, email, or chat to understand their needs, qualify them and find the most effective solution and complete the sale
  • Meet personal/customer success targets (KPIs) as set by the sales and channel development team
  • Fulfil required administrative duties relating to each sale in an accurate and timely manner
  • Continuously educate the organisation on our customers’ pain points and needs (Be the voice of our customers).
  • Have fun and contribute to a positive team culture
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes to position our products in the market effectively.
  • Negotiate pricing and transaction rates to close deals and achieve sales targets.
  • Present tailored solutions to merchants, demonstrating how our products can address their specific needs and add value to their business
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand clients’ payment processing requirements and pain points

About you

  • Proven inbound and outbound sales experience (preferably in a fast-paced Fin-tech or international company).
  • Strong understanding of payment processing technologies and solutions.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and demonstrates resilience under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently with rigorous time management and diligent use of necessary systems
  • This specific role requires the candidate to be very flexible when it comes to working as per a shift schedule
  • Effective communication and customer relations skills, with the ability to develop and nurture relationships over the phone, in person, and across all digital platforms.
  • Ability to remain calm and perform well in high-stress moments.
  • Be tech-savvy, and have a working knowledge of operating CRM databases and other business tools, such as Salesforce, Natterbox, Intercom
  • Daily management of Slack channels and notification
