Strong player from the closed MultiVersus preview releases his 'way too early' 1v1 tier list

Prior to the announcement of Banana Guard, Jason Voorhees, and Agent Smith, journalists and influencers were invited to partake in a sneak peek at MultiVersus over a three-day period. BltzZ was apparently one of the players who participated in this event.

From my own time with the sneak peek, I don’t believe I ever played against BltzZ, but I’ve seen many of the players that I did play against in his videos. Though I had a great deal of trouble scoring even one win against many of these players, I’ve seen that BltzZ was able to beat these sort of players regularly during the preview event. Therefore, I definitely get the sense that BltzZ is someone who knows what he’s talking about with regards to MultiVersus.

Prior to the release of MultiVersus, BltzZ decided to release his “way too early” tier list for MultiVersus. Since it was difficult to arrange for 2v2 matches during this private preview, this tier list appears to be mostly focused on the 1v1 aspect of the game.

Things are bound to change, but new players getting into MultiVersus could potentially use this tier list to get an idea of which characters are potentially good early on. As of right now, I’m not sure which changes have been implemented since the private beta, if any.

BltzZ has labeled Wonder Woman, Banana Guard, Shaggy, Batman, and Harley Quinn as the strongest characters from the early look. They’ve all been positioned in the S tier group as a result.

The other newcomers, Joker and Jason, have been positioned in the A tier and B tier categories respectively. From my own early impressions of MultiVersus, I mentioned that I felt Banana Guard was too strong, Joker was fairly balanced, and Jason was too weak — though I’ll note that I rarely played against any of the characters below Jason on BltzZ’s tier list during my time with Jason.

Reindog, Taz, Gizmo, Velma, Marvin, and Iron Giant were declared to be the overall weakest fighters on BltzZ’s tier list. Of course, Agent Smith wasn’t playable at the time so his placement remains as an unknown.
