Update (5:30 a.m. PT / 8:30 a.m. ET): Warner Bros. and Player First Games have now allowed the fourth and final wave of console players into the MultiVersus servers. By this point, every console player should be able to log into the game.

This came shortly after a delay in the waves, seemingly due to an issue with purchases made on the Xbox Store. There’s been no mention on whether or not the issue has been addressed yet.

The updates should resume at around 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET when it’s time for the PC release of MultiVersus. We’ll be sure to provide updates then as well.

Earlier:The scheduled time is now upon us. MultiVersus is now available for the consoles, consisting of the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series.

For those that have been unable to log into the game, there’s no need to fret. With the expectation that there will be a lot of players jumping in on the action, Warner Bros. and Player First Games are allowing players in through a series of waves.

As of the time of writing this, three waves of console players have been let into the MultiVersus servers. This is being done for the purpose of mitigating the stress on the servers.

Unfortunately, it would seem that the waves have temporarily been halted due to an issue involving purchases from the Xbox Store. Once this issue is resolved, we expect more waves of players to be allowed in.

When MultiVersus first went public with its open beta test, it broke the record for the most concurrent number of players on Steam for a fighting game. To this day, that record still stands.

Of course, there’s a distinct possibility of that record being broken today with MultiVersus’ full launch. It seems the developers and publishers are hoping to maintain a stable experience by allowing players in through waves.

It’s currently unknown how many waves there will be until all console players are able to access the game. Additionally, these waves have been let through at sporadic intervals.

Those that intend to play MultiVersus on the PC will have to wait until 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET before the first wave of PC players are allowed in. Just like with the console waves, we expect this to happen over a period of time rather than all at once.

We’ll be providing updates on when waves are being let in, so be sure to keep an eye out.
